Regional SEO Pages
Where local search pages help, where they don't, and how we handle them.
What we mean
Regional pages are pages aimed at searches with a place in them โ "roofer in Wichita," "counselor in Kansas." Done well, they're one of the most useful things a local business can have. Done badly, they're the same page repeated with the town name swapped, which search engines tend to discount and which readers can spot immediately.
How we handle them for your site
- Small Business: service-area pages are part of the build, but only where there's a genuine local angle โ real projects, real neighborhoods, real details. If a town has nothing specific to say, it doesn't get a page. See Small Business.
- Therapist / Mental Health: your license state and who you see are stated clearly on the site, rather than spinning up a separate page for every city. See Therapist / Mental Health.
- Professional / About-Me: regional pages don't apply. A personal site isn't found by geography, so we don't build them.
What we do for our own site
We don't publish templated "website design in [state]" pages. CanvasWebsites is new, and we'd rather learn from real search data than guess at dozens of combinations up front. If that data shows a few specific topics are worth their own well-researched pages, we'll build those properly, one at a time.
